About Me

My name is Michael Dewar and I was educated at Sherborne School before I completed my A Levels in English, French and Spanish at Ardingly College.  I read Hispanic Studies as an undergraduate at the University of Birmingham, and whilst on Erasmus exchange in Seville, I studied Latin American cultural studies and comparative French literature.  I then went to Westminster University where I completed a Masters Diploma in Translation Studies.

I've lived and worked in France and Spain and I'm a proficient speaker of both languages. I've been tutoring since 2014, and under my guidance my students have achieved top grades in French and Spanish, from Common Entrance to GCSE and AS/A Levels. I've tutored children across London from prestigious schools including St Pauls, Dulwich College and Highgate, as well as academies in south east London where I live. I've also helped non-native English speakers through their CAE and IELTS exams, as well as tutoring adults in English, French and Spanish for self-development or professional purposes.

I'm an enthusiastic traveller, and I've written an article about my homestay experience in Morocco to learn Arabic.

If you'd like any further information, or if you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch and I'll be happy to help.
